Copyright: Copyright protection is provided by laws of the United States and other countries to the creators of "original works of authorship" including literary, dramatic, artistic, musical, and certain other intellectual works. Personal Use: Personal use requires written permission from the owner (SHS), and includes reference, research, and any other use, provided all such uses are limited to private, non-commercial use.

Commercial Use: Commercial use requires written permission from SHS, and includes but is not limited to electronic or paper publishing, video production, exhibits, product presentations, interior design, marketing presentations, advertising, or similar commercial purposes.  Licensing and reproduction fees may apply.

Credit: Credit must be given adjacent to materials displayed or published. Please credit  SHS using the credit line:  Sumner Historical Society, Sumner, WA. The credit information for digital files must be integral with the image as it is displayed, so that downloading of the image includes the credit line.  One copy of any physical publication/project utilizing licensed materials shall be donated to SHS.

Licensing and Reproduction: Extent of License: Materials licensed from SHS are to be used only as specified on the front of this form. No further rights are extended with the license. Users may not authorize others to use the material or copies licensed herein, for any purpose whatsoever, including all forms of publication, broadcast, and electronic dissemination except as specially provided in this agreement without first obtaining written permission from SHS.

Online Usage: This license does not constitute permission to use materials on a web server or website unless specifically stated in the project/usage description. When permitted, images must be used without significantly alteration through conventional or electronic means. Altering or manipulating the image beyond standard cropping and resizing requires permission from SHS. Website use must be at a resolution of 72 dpi or less. SHS must be notified with the URL address of all website uses and notified of all URL address changes.  

There is a 20% discount for members of the Sumner Historical Society and for non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations.

Fee discounts do not apply to photocopy costs or shipping or sales tax
