The committee's purpose is to raise community awareness about the city plan for demolition of the Ryan House.

Members of the committee have already been very successfully active in challenging the city plan through the court of public opinion.

They are now collecting donations for a legal defense fund to challenge the city plan through the legal system.

Donations will also be used for restoration of the Ryan House.

The  committee operates under the umbrella of the Sumner Historical Society.
